MPI Approved Online Biosecurity Training
QCONZ’s MPI-approved online biosecurity training for Accredited Persons offers flexible, anytime access, with no travel or venue costs–making it a convenient, cost-effective way for APs to do their Accredited Person training.
An Accredited Person (AP) is responsible for inspecting containers, supervising their unpacking and containing any biosecurity risks. Facilities receiving containers must have one or more trained, accredited person available to check containers.
These online eLearning courses teach APs how to safely receive, inspect, and devan imported sea containers—helping protect New Zealand from pests and diseases.

MPI Accredited Person Sea Container Course
$125 (+GST)
Full Course – for first-time Accredited Persons
This is the full course, it is designed for first time AP’s – individuals responsible for receiving and inspecting imported sea containers at a Transitional Facility. This eLearning course must be completed as part of the MPI accreditation process.
MPI Accredited Person Sea Container Refresher Course
$125 (+GST)
Refresher Course – required every 2 years
This ‘Refresher’ training is for individuals who have previously completed the full AP course who are responsible for receiving and inspecting imported sea containers at a Transitional Facility. To keep your Accredited Person status, this eLearning course needs to be completed within two years of completing a full course.

Free
Awareness Course – for staff supporting Accredited Persons
This eLearning course, developed by MPI, is for anyone who works at a Transitional Facility. You will gain a general awareness of biosecurity in New Zealand and the risks associated with unwanted pests and diseases arriving on our shores.
This biosecurity training will help meet requirements for ongoing staff development.
