This MPI-approved eLearning course is designed for individuals responsible for devanning imported sea containers at a Transitional Facility. It provides the essential knowledge and skills to manage biosecurity risks and meet MPI accreditation requirements.
This is the full course that must be completed as part of the Accredited Person (AP) application process. After completing the eLearning course and passing the assessment, you will need to apply to MPI to receive your official AP status.

- Explain MPI’s role and responsibility in biosecurity.
- Identify biosecurity risks at Transitional Facilities (e.g. pests and diseases).
- Understand the responsibilities of an Accredited Person.

- Know the right actions to take when pests or contamination are found.

- Assessment: 45-minute MPI online assessment at the end of the course.
- Certificate: Issued on successful completion and shared with MPI.

To complete this course and the MPI assessment requirement, learners must have:
- A good level of English comprehension
- A basic level of written English
Completion requirements:
When you have completed the eLearning course and passed the online final assessment you will:
- Be awarded a certificate that verifies that you have completed the required training to be an Accredited Person.
- You will need to provide this certificate as part of your application to be an Accredited Person.
